Hello world!
I’m back again after two weeks of sitting around, walking in circles and eating a ton of cookie cake (hence the walking in circles). As I’ve settled into Quarantine, it’s become more difficult to find things to say.
Maybe it’s because everything just kinda feels this way now, so I don’t have as many crazy thoughts to get out. Or maybe it’s because it’s spring now so I’m spending less time inside. Or maybe it’s because I was writing a blog for work and all my blogging juices were used up.
Either way, welcome back (LOL this makes it sound like I'm blaming our break on y'all)! I hope, friends, that you need a drink as much as I do. Because that's what we're about to do.
Time to Pour Yourself a Drink
I’m coming at you with a Quarantine drinking game! Considering I’ve been in Quarantine for about 2 months now, this #DrinkingWithLisa post is long overdue! (So sorry - I can’t even imagine who you’ve resorted to drinking with.)
But I had to perfect it, which meant practicing the game, which meant I’ve been so sloshed I haven’t been able to write (jokes). Lucky for all of us, I’ve finally gotten myself together enough to share this masterpiece with you.
Is this game even relevant anymore?
I guess I don’t know if it’s still relevant for you. For some of you, Quarantine may have come to an end already (maybe it never even started) and for others, it might be ending soon.
Despite all of that, there are a few things I do know for sure. And I think they’ll justify why you should check out this game:
It’s been a long week
You need and DESERVE a drink
We’re all still social distancing so what else are you going to do?
So settle in friends.
Without further ado, #DrinkingWithLisa brings you Quarantinebriated. (Quarantine + Inebriated).
Quarantinebriated Rules
Rule #1: Grab a drink - I don’t care what it is. Beer, tequila, tea, water. Drink what you want, but you can’t do this without a liquid. You will need a cup and a shot glass. And available refills.
Rule #2: Make sure you don’t have things to do after. If you’re drinking alcoholic liquids, you’re going to be drunk. And if you’re drinking non-alcoholic liquids, you’re going to be peeing. So it’s best if you just clear your probably already empty schedule.
Rule #3: Grab a QB (Quarantine Buddy) or several. This can include people in person or via video. Honestly, you could probably play alone, but you will have to pretend to be multiple people. I don’t know about you, but I’ve definitely done that multiple times during this Quarantine so I will not judge you.
Rule #4: Modify the questions to your liking. Don't want to take a shot? Take a sip instead? Don't want to take 3 sips? Take one instead. You get it.
How to Play
Below, you will see a list of statements. All you have to do is read them, reflect on the time period of Quarantine indicated in the question and follow the drinking rules. The game does not end when you finish a drink. You will need to refill your drink.
Apologies, this is not fancy. I wanted to create a crazy card deck or spinning wheel, but that became too complicated. So I settled for simple. Last I checked, simple still gets the job done (and by "the job" I mean getting drunk). HERE WE GO!
Full disclosure: Ben & I haven’t actually played this, so we’ll try it out this Friday and you should too. Don't read the questions in advance, or you'll remove the element of surprise. Just come back when you're ready to play.
Let's Play Quarantinebriated:
Take 1 sip for every photo you’ve taken of your pet this week.
Give 1 shot to a person of your choosing for every time you’ve driven your car this week. NOTE: You can give all shots to one person, or split between multiple.

Take a shot if you wish Quarantine was over.
Back to my Quarantine Commentary
Let’s be real, y’all. This is just a game to get your night started. Once you finish, you can go around the circle and keep adding your own ideas. Or you can switch and play something else (may I recommend Jackbox Games). Or you can eat some tacos and go to bed.
Cheers (& shots),
